Vuzix Blade smart glasses support Xpertinc’s closed captioning C-Sound solution for the deaf and hard of hearing

ROCHESTER, NY, October 17, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Vuzix® Corporation (NASDAQ: VUZI), (“Vuzix” or the “Company”), a leading provider of smart eyewear and augmented reality (AR) technologies and products, today announced today that his blade Vuzix® The smart glasses were selected by Vuzix’s Korean distributor, Xpertinc Co., Ltd. (“Xpertinc”) to power its C-Sound solution, an auxiliary engineering device that converts voice to text and speaks it in real time on Vuzix Blade smart glasses to help deaf and hard of hearing people who cannot hear the sound to have conversations. Xpertinc recently placed a first volume order for the Vuzix Blade smart glasses and began deliveries of this solution to customers.

Xpertinc has developed AI STT (Artificial Intelligence Speech-to-Text) engines with its own technology to provide services to disability-related government agencies, including Korea Employment Agency (KEAD), Korea Information Technology (NIA) and the National Rehabilitation Center (NRC). C-Sound uses a transformer-based fast learning loop to improve text conversion accuracy, maintaining 92% accuracy through 15,000 hours of training natural language datasets to date , with plans to increase accuracy to 95% through 18,000 hours of additional learning by the end of 2022. Additionally, an applied application with UI/UX and an open API for user convenience has been developed and assembled. Xpertinc is also developing a hybrid model with built-in types that can be used in places where internet environments are weak or non-existent.
