Palamu police arrest three thieves and recover stolen gadgets

Panki police arrested three thieves and recovered 12 desktop computers, two printers, 12 keyboards, a processor, a mouse and a Xerox machine which were stolen on the night of March 15 from the computer lab of Mazdoor Kissan Inter college Dandar Kalan . Palamu SP Chandan Kumar Sinha informed today.

The three arrested thieves have been identified as Mukesh, Pramod and Nitish. The police handed these robbers into custody.

The gang’s kingpin, Satish, is believed to have fled to Punjab, SP said.

Police had found a dismantled CCTV camera dumped in the backyard of campus.

All the recovery was done in a nondescript village of Rudiya near BIT Mesra Ranchi.

The question now arises as to when these electronic gadgets will be legally returned to the college as they were legally seized.

Commenting on this, the SP said that the college concerned should give the police their request for restitution of the recovered stolen property which the police will forward to the court of the first magistrate for final order for its return to the college.

It is pure luck that electronic gadgets were stolen when the Jharkhand Academic Council Intermediate Practical Examinations were over, otherwise it would have been difficult for the college administration to hold their final Inter-Practice Examinations.
