nmc: Nmc mobile app hotline affected by software issue | Nashik News

Nashik: The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has launched a mobile application “NMC e-connect” to respond to the grievances of the inhabitants of the city.
This app has an option to call the helpline number. But this helpline number no longer exists for a few days. NMC’s IT department head, Nitin Dhamane, admitted that the helpline number went missing in recent days due to a software glitch. But the problem will be detected and fixed in a few days.
Also, ‘NMC e-connect mobile app does not work on mobile phones with iOS operating system, but the app works on mobile phones with Android operating system.
Dhamane said that the annual subscription is over and has not yet been renewed. This is the reason why the NMC mobile application does not work on Apple phones. “But we will pay the subscription soon,” he added. In 2014, the NMC administration launched its Smart Nashik app to help citizens file complaints online through the app. In 2018, then City Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe updated this mobile app to make it more user-friendly for citizens. Accordingly, the Smart Nashik app was restructured and launched on March 1, 2018, renamed “NMC e-connect”.
