Harmful effects of mobile addiction on our body and mind

Having a busy work schedule, dependent children and a home to maintain can severely limit your social activities. In this situation, the mobile phone becomes the new best friend. There’s no escaping technology in today’s fast-paced world. We can binge on Facebook, quickly text on WhatsApp, upload photos to Instagram, and download games all at the same time through our smartphones. It seems that denying this addiction is impossible. Yet what we don’t see is its parasitic impact on our lives.

Constant exposure to electronic devices such as cell phones, computers, tablets, and laptops. And this addiction also causes many harmful effects on our body and mind:

dark circles

Imagine that your whole face is beautiful, but the area around your eyes is covered in dark circles and puffiness. No amount of excellent skin can make up for the heaviness of dark circles. It is very important to take care of your eyes as the skin around your area is more sensitive. Only a good quality relaxing sleep and deduction of the number of hours spent in front of the screen can prevent your eyes from this problem.

neck pain

Admit it, you’re still looking at your phone, checking WhatsApp, Instagram, emails, new notifications, or scrolling through your phone’s gallery. Constant use of phones can cause severe neck pain. In severe cases, this can lead to problems such as neck pain and poor sitting posture. Holding the phone at eye level and reading with your chin up will help you avoid all of this.

Smartphone addicts, especially teenagers, have trouble sleeping at night. They continually stare at their phones and, to make matters worse, they sleep with their phones buried under their mattresses. The blue light emitted by cell phones and other electronic devices delays the production of melatonin. Lack of melatonin can make it difficult to fall asleep, leading to insomnia and fatigue over time.

Have you ever wondered why your boyfriend is always so worried? Have you seen how glued he is to his cell phone? Many people spend hours surfing the web or chatting with their peers on their smartphones after a stressful day at work. I must advise you to limit your mobile phone use immediately. Additionally, several scientists believe that phone radiation can induce neurological diseases also known as brain damage.

Germs and Infections

People addicted to their phone find it difficult to turn off their smartphone even while eating or drinking. All the bacteria on your phone screen enters your body, causing various diseases. Because we take our phone everywhere with us and sometimes we put it anywhere without thinking about germs and bacteria.

Low sight

Spending hours staring at your phone’s tiny screen can damage your eyes and weaken your eyesight. Blurred vision, tired eyes, dizziness, and even headaches can result from squinting hard to see the fine print of text messages.

Concentration problem

Whether you have an iPhone or a Blackberry, you’re likely to check your phone while driving, traveling, or just walking down the street. Phones have the potential to distract a driver, increasing the risk of a traffic accident. Also, phone addicts find it hard to concentrate at work or school.
