Doonites could face power outages due to road expansion works


Doonites are advised to keep their electronic gadgets charged, as the next two weeks are going to be difficult for electricity consumers. Consumers can face power outages. According to a news report, consumers at North Division, the distribution division of Energy Corporation, will face an electricity shortage in the coming days. Between October 11th and 25th, there will be relocation and upgrading of the HT and LT lines due to the widening of the DL road from Sahasradhara crossing.

Technical improvement works are also to be carried out, due to which there will be electricity problems in more than 120 areas, including Rajpur, Sahasradhara Road, Hathibarkala. Due to the closure on October 11 and 12, Vijaynagar, Shakti Vihar, Rajesh Rawat Colony, Chander Road, Shivalik Apartment, Old Dalanwala, Curjan Road, MDDA Colony, Dalanwala, Nalapani, Sikri Mohalla, Cement Road, Karanpur, Chuna Kiln, Tarla Amwala areas would be impacted.

There will be a power cut here from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be power cuts in Rishinagar, Kewal Vihar, Sumanpuri, Vikas Lok Lane-1 to 5, Adhoiwala, Adarsh ​​Vihar, Raksha Vihar, Ajanta Enclave from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. While there will be a power failure at Canal Road, Rajpur, Kairwan Village, Malsi, Doon Vihar, Anshal Valley, Jakhan, Kishanpur, Shaharshahi, Kuthal Village, Purukul Road, Deer Park, Makdet Village and Sai Mandir from 10am to 13h.

There will be power issues in areas connected to the 33/11 KV Anarwala on October 13, the Sahasradhara feeder on October 18 and the Hathibarkala feeder on October 21. Likewise, in Mussoorie, there will be a stop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on October 22 and 25 at the feeders of Kyarkuli, LBS and Kunj Bhavan. Over the next few days, residents of Doon could face a power shortage. Energy Corporation’s EE Prashant Bahuguna appealed to consumers for alternative arrangements.
