Disbelievers on bicycles snatch cell phones from pedestrians in Ganeshpeth, Dhantoli

Nagpur: In two incidents of theft reported under the jurisdiction of Ganeshpeth and the Dhantoli Police Station, unidentified bicycle-believers allegedly targeted two pedestrians and stole their two cell phones with a collective value of Rs 39,000 here on Tuesday evening . The cops registered cases under Articles 392, 34 of the IPC in both cases and launched an investigation into the case.

Ajni, Rani Dilip Pathankar, 20, resident of Babulkheda, was walking home with her friend on Tuesday evening. As the duo were passing through Patbandhare’s office under Dhantoli Police Station, two Splender bicycle disbelievers (without license plates) approached them and walked away after ripping off their cell phone. After which, she went to Dhantoli Police Station with a complaint.

Likewise, the plaintiff Rajan Kruplaal Tomsakar (43), a resident of the TB Ward No 8/4 Dhobi Chawl medical district was walking around while talking on his Vivo phone on Tuesday evening. At around 10:45 pm, as he was passing through Agyaram Devi Chowk under Ganeshpeth Police Station, two disbelievers on bicycles approached him and snatched his cell phone worth Rs 30,000.
