Compaq launches an Ultra HD LED smart Android TV at Rs 17,499: Details here

Compaq launched the Compaq Ultra HD (4K) LED Android Smart TV in India on Tuesday. The new smart TV is priced at Rs 17,499, which is the lowest among its competitors, the US tech company has claimed.

“Compaq’s primary goal is to provide everyone with the opportunity to own quality televisions that are easy to use and affordable. We strongly believe that with the launch of our new state-of-the-art TV, Compaq’s reach to the masses will increase exponentially, which will strengthen the brand’s reliability in the market,” said Amitabh Tiwari, CEO of Ossify Industries Pvt Ltd.

Compaq Ultra HD (4K) LED Android Smart TV: Specifications

It sports a 43-inch ultra HD display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It boots the Android operating system and has built-in support for Google Assistant and Chromecast. Apart from playing YouTube videos, the new Android TV also supports OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar.

The Chromecast function, a mirroring technology, makes it possible to cast applications from a smartphone, tablet or laptop to its screen. The smart TV offers a Dolby Audio decoder that improves sound quality.

As for the design, it has a slim metal body with a bezel-less screen. There is an Experience Stabilization Engine that uses a sophisticated algorithm to deliver a smooth viewing experience that doesn’t lag or fade even during a fast-moving scene.

Recently, during the festive sales, Compaq saw strong omnichannel sales of its smart TVs.

Especially during the festive sale, Compaq TV seemed to be become people’s preferred choice and it continues to be so,” added Tiwari.
