COD Mobile has shown quite a bit since its inception in 2019. It has managed to take a rather competitive game and give it a fun arcade twist without taking away that feeling that Call of Duty has.
It was fast paced, sometimes brutal, and filled with kids who are way better than you – the real essence of a COD game.
Needless to say, COD has been constantly updated for years, so it makes sense to have one of the most popular modes in the world right at your fingertips.
COD: Is Warzone coming to mobile?
Aside from all the updates the mobile receives, a recent post on LinkedIn suggests something much more concrete. In their announcement, Activision says they are looking to add more members to their mobile team for “expansion of content on COD Mobile and Warzone.”
While this is a relatively benign update, it’s especially important to say that they are hiring for the mobile team. They could have posted a more vague job offer, but they didn’t.
In the section for a new graphics engineer, they state that the role would be to join the mobile team for the launch of a “new mobile title”. Naturally, the COD mobile team is only working on Call of Duty games, so it has to be Warzone.
Why this might work
Mobile phones continue to get more powerful and work on the current COD Mobile game suggests so. Alongside enemies and friends, he’s even able to operate a tank, which is no small feat.
It has a plethora of weapons and customization options and even ran a zombie mode and controller support. It’s clear that COD Mobile is a priority at Activision and is one of the few ways to play it on the go. They don’t seem to be giving up their support anytime soon.
